Built by an animator, for animators.
Hi, I'm Arthur. I'm 12, and I've spent about a year building the tool I wish I'd had when I started animating. Here's why.
I loved animation. It didn't love me back.
I'd get an idea for an animation and feel super excited. A fight scene. A big explosion. Something I just had to see move.
Then I'd actually start making it. And this is what happened, again and again:
- Too slow. One animation took me weeks. Weeks!
- Too confusing. The tools were complicated, with buttons everywhere.
- Too hard to finish. And after all those weeks, I often didn't even like what I made.
I struggled with animation for years. It took years to get good. And the whole time, the ideas in my head were way better than what I could get on the screen.
Maybe you know that feeling.
Then it hit me.
There had to be a better way.
But all I could find were more complicated tools. Nothing that let you just think of an idea and watch it move.
So I decided: if the better way doesn't exist, I'll build it myself.
A year of building.
I've been building Diamond Animator for about a year, one piece at a time.
The big part is the AI Animator. You type your idea — like “two stick figures have a sword fight” or “a fireball hits a punching bag” — and it plans the key poses and animates it for you.
And because I'm an animator, I made it follow the rules that took me years to learn: wind-ups before a big move, easing in and out, follow-through, weight that bends arms and legs, impacts that match what gets hit, feet that stay planted, and poses you can read. The stuff that makes animation feel right.
You still get real tools too: drawing and stick-figure tools, a timeline, and MP4 export so you can share what you make.
Why I'm doing this.
Anyone should be able to bring an idea to life. Not after years of practice. Today.
Think of an idea. Say it. Watch it come to life. That's what I wanted back when I was stuck for weeks on one animation — and that's what I built for you.
This is just the beginning.
Version 1 is stick figures. Versions 2, 3 and 4 will bring more complicated, better scenes — and more than stick figures. I'm not promising dates, but I'm going to keep building.
I show what I'm working on on my YouTube channel, Animator Builder. Come watch it grow.
